New tricks:
A lot has changed besides Karen's scab falling off. She got her first
tooth. It popped out on Jan 20. Front lower left. I think she's working
on the front lower right one too. She has had a drool rash for a while,
but not "so much" drool. She never complained. Just one day she had a very
slight drippy nose and she wanted to chew on my finger a lot and the next
day POP, there's the tooth. I was kind of surprised because it came so
quietly. I hope all her teething will be this easy. Karen is also sitting
up very well now. She still falls over, but now it's because she's lunging
for toys, not because she can't balance. She LOVES the remote control and
if we leave it anywhere near her she literally dives for it. Now I wish
we'd saved that old broken remote for her to play with and slobber all
over. She also loves paper. She'll go over backward (literally) to get
any kind of paper including newspapers, books, toilet paper, napkins, tags
on toys, etc. I wonder what the attraction is. Karen still sleeps with
us, and she doesn't always stay in the sidecar although I'm glad we have
that extra space for her because she is starting to get really squirmy.
She rolls over and over, covering great distance, and she spins around
sideways. A few nights ago, I woke up in the middle of the night with Karen
perpendicular to me and her feet up on me...make yourself at home, dear!
Overall it is a true pleasure having her so near us. We love waking up
with her in the morning. She seems so excited to see us right there as
soon as she opens her eyes. That's what it's all about, if you ask me.
I love the snuggles I steal while she's sleeping because she's less and
less snuggly now that she can do so well on her own (sitting/playing).
BB took this picture when we were at mom's house in November. I took a picutre of the photograph that's why it's blurry and has a big glare on it--but it's such a nice picture. Karen is 3.5 months old in this picture.
Karen's first day wearing a dress. She was so cute in it.
Karen is a girl of grace...
...and propriety.
The weather was nice out, so Karen and Eitan (son of my friend Ziva) palyed outside. They look at each other and sometimes try to grab and poke each other. Karen is much more interested in looking at herself in the mirror than in seeing other babies. She doesn't try to grab herself in the mirror, though. hmm....
Karen takes up disproportionally much room in the bed.
She likes to play with my water bottle.
This is Karen's "laptop." At least that's what we're going to tell her when she wants to get her hands on our laptop. We open the hatches and she can push them closed.
Undeniably CUTE!
When we sit her in the stroller without the belt on, she instantly puts her feet up on the front bar.
She fell asleep in the sling. She's delicious like this.
wide eyes.
laughing.
She's surely a Moses because she has the telltale bunny ears.
It's hard to see in this picture, but Karen has the most delicious belly.
Playing with Aba.
with Ima.
Ita came to visit and Karen was so excited. So were we--we went out for a walk alone.
