New tricks this week:
That roll from back to tummy that Karen was working on a few weeks
ago...she finally made it. Now she rolls both ways. I may have mentioned
how she deliberatly drops things. It started about 2 months ago as grabbing
and dropping (more like letting go). A few weeks ago, I noticed her watching
herself releasing things from her hand, apparantly realizing that she could
drop things. The newest development on this front is she now whines to
get it back. The pick-up game begins. I'm a sucker for her whining and
after she's dropped everything on her tray I go collect it and give it
back to her...over and over again. I took out all the 6-month clothes this
week. She's got TONs of cute clothes for this age--like I need another
reason to think she's cute and kiss her up!
She's about to outgrow this chair. It's served us well. It's not that she's necessarily too large for it, but there are other places we can put her where it doesn't take so much on our part to keep her entertained. Like, lying on her stomach with a bunch of toys around her.
Her "coy" face.
She loved the proof set that great-aunt BB sent. (I just let her taste it once for the picture). In the "big picture" of this one, you can really see her eyes. Sometimes they look blue, sometimes grey, sometimes slightly green. Either way, she's a knockout!
What a cutie in these overalls!
This is one of the best ways she plays now. We roll up a towel or blanket and put her over it. Her upper body is held up and she has both hands free to play.
She likes to watch tv. She gets totally mezmerized. Surprisingly (or not, on second thought), she likes cartoons better than "real" shows.
