big pictures

New Tricks this Week:
Hard to say. We had a great visit with Mom (Grammy) and everyone in Rockville. Karen flew really well from DC to Detroit. The women at the checkin counter at NW Airlines gave Karen a certificate honoring her first flight (we took it anyway, this being her first trip even though that wasn't exactly her first flight). Karen is doing really well with all the people and stimulation and seems to thrive on it.

On a technical note, I've changed the "big pictures" page slightly by putting less space between one picture and the next. I hope this will make the pages pring 2 pictures per page instead of just 1. For me, I can get 2 pictures per page with the following settings in Netscape:
File menu --> Page Setup: Set top margin to 0.5", bottom margin to 0". Left/right don't matter. You can leave header info turned on, but turn off all footer selections. 2 pictures should fit on a Letter sized page with these settings.

Checkin desk ladies at NW airlines at DC National Airport. The woman on the left is holding up Karen's First Flight certificate which states that Karen "did leave the surface of the earth on a heavier than air machine." Later, we got it signed by the pilot and fligt attendant. I think I got a bigger kick out of this than Karen ever will.

Karen and Ryan playing Nintendo. You have to look at the big version of this to see that Karen is holding a joystick (although, she's not actually playing).

Karen on a particularly good hair day.

Susan with Karen.

Karen has been playing with a lot of toys I had long since forgotten about. I don't remember them being mine, although some were. But I remember them from Tim and Ryan.
