New Tricks this Week:
Karen is getting better with her hands. She still hasn't found her
hand, but now she's really batting at things you put in front of her. "The
boook" says that she bats at things because she hasn't developed good 3-D
vision so she can't exactly get her hand on things. But, she has learned
that if she opens her hand, we'll put it in there for her. She has a few
toys that she knows if we show it to her, instead of batting at it, she'll
open her hand and wait for us to give it to her. Even though she hasn't
looked at her hand and discovered it that way, sometimes she'll catch one
hand with the other hand and you can tell she's trying to push her other
hand into her mouth. She's outgrown most of her 0-3 month clothes now.
I went through her clothes yesterday and, because she's so big (95+ %-iles)
she almost fits in the 6 month stuff, and one or two 9month things. I'm
glad, because all the warm winter stuff will fit her all winter.
Here you can see a few of Karen's chins.
She holds up her head and about half of her back very well. I love seeing her up on Ari's shoulder, looking all around.
There was an almost-laugh that went with this smile.
I could kiss this face a million times. Look at those big blue eyes.
